We chose Prestige at the Palazzo in Las Vegas for our latest girlfriend getaway and had an epic experience. Upgrading to the Prestige club level rooms helped make our trip low stress and relaxing–just what we were seeking as a group of young mothers with busy careers.
1. The Palazzo staff is top notch.
Check-in was a breeze and everyone we interacted with at the club level concierge desk was polite and friendly. They thought of everything, from helping us find seats together by the pool, to providing recommendation for cocktails and spa treatments. We felt welcomed and pampered during our entire visit.
2. The Prestige Lounge is great for business travelers.
Flying in from the east coast? The Prestige Lounge proved to be the perfect quiet space to work for a few hours while waiting for our room. It was practically deserted mid-morning on a weekday and provided plenty of comfortable seating and access to power outlets. Good wifi, access to unlimited coffee and bottled water, plus gorgeous views over the strip? A girl could get use to this.
3. The Bella Suites are perfect for a girlfriend getaway.
At 720 square feet these rooms were bigger than many of the other hotel options we considered. We had room to spread out and loved having the living room space. The Bella suites themselves are gorgeous—sumptuous linens and a relaxing vibe. The bathroom provided plenty of mirrors and counter space making it easy to get ready together.
4. The dining options are to die for.
The Palazzo and Venetian have so many great restaurants that it’s really hard to choose. Yardbird is always on my list (try the fried chicken and waffles. So, so good!) But I also really like Sushisamba and Cut. I could spend a week just eating my way around this hotel complex.
5. The Palazzo pool deck offers something for everyone.
With 10 pools spread over 5 acres, the pool deck at the Palazzo and Venetian offers plenty of options, whether you’re seeking calm, a party, or a family atmosphere. We’d reserved chairs through the Prestige concierge and the reservation definitely came in handy. While the pool deck wasn’t busy, it was a cool day and many of the sunny chairs were claimed early. Towels were plentiful and the waitstaff kept the pitchers of cocktails coming.
6. Tao nightclub is a classic.
High energy and a solid DJ lineup. We expected crowds, but it was really busy, even by Vegas standards. Next time we’ll be reserving a table in advance!
7. Prestige at the Palazzo weekend brunch is a delicious club level perk.
The Palazzo steps up the Prestige continental breakfast on the weekends with longer hours, brunch offerings, and mimosas. The breakfast is great during the week, but the weekend brunch was the perfect upgrade for a girl’s weekend. It was so relaxing to just pop up to the lounge, rather than think about where we wanted to go and make reservations.
8. Canyon Ranch Spa is a must do.
Canyon Ranch Spa Las Vegas is easily the largest spa I’ve ever been to. While the Saturday we visited was definitely busy, we still had an incredibly relaxing experience. After spending the morning fully immersing ourselves in the Aquavana experience, we indulged in spa treatments before ordering a light lunch and relaxing some more. The Wave Room was entrancing and we adored the crystal steam room and salt grotto. Staying Prestige at the Palazzo? Try booking your treatment through one of their concierges. We did and received an unexpected discount on services!
9. Prestige at the Palazzo evening cocktail reception is worth the upgrade.
This reception was good during the week, but they really step it up a notch on Friday and Saturday with the addition of premium wine and live music. We found the reception to be really crowded early on, so we took to arriving for the second half. The drinks were perfection and the appetizers plentiful. We loved grabbing a cozy corner and gabbing to our hearts content before heading out for the evening.
10. Ease of indulging in retail therapy at the Grand Canal Shops.
Whether you plan on window shopping or purchasing so much you’ll need to check another bag on the flight home, the Grand Canal Shops are worth a visit. The cobblestone walkways and cloud painted ceiling set the scene, as you wander along the canal and pop into luxury shops. The Barney’s here is a must do. And when we tired of shopping there were plenty of dining options for a quick snack or to catch up over cocktails.
